Abortion is on ballot in US

Voters in at least five states will be deciding to either uphold or reject amendments for access to abortion during the US midterms. In Kentucky, voters will decide about removing protection for abortion in their constitution. Michigan, California, Montana and Vermont all have abortion policies on the ballot too. These votes will signal Americans' attitudes toward abortion after the US Supreme Court overturned Roe v Wade rights. Thirteen states banned or severely restricted abortion after the right to the procedure was struck down at federal level this summer, leaving states to make their own rules.
