It was first opened in 1985. The Arignar Anna Zoological Park is the first public zoo in India. It is a India second largest zoo. There are around 171 different species. The park rescue center and breeding center help in maintaining the variety of animals. The main goal of this zoo is to preserve endangered animals and preserve the beauty of exotic animals.
