Published on January 23, 2025 Actor Colin Egglesfield, a frequent sight on TV screens over the last two decades, is dealing with a scary diagnosis: His cancer is back for a third time. He began his statement by recalling words he had said in an interview that he did when he was 25, in which he said, "It's not the hand that you’ve been dealt because you can't change that. It's how you play the cards that counts." Egglesfield said it had "served me well throughout my life including recently. The beginning to this year hasn't been the easiest, but in the spirit of what I said in my interview, this is another opportunity to decide who I choose to be in the face of uncertainty and challenges in my most recent cancer diagnosis." He acknowledged that his prostate cancer had been caught early. After researching and consulting with doctors, he elected to "be proactive and have surgery." Egglesfield made sure to thank his care team and supporters. "Thank you to everyone else who has supported me and extended your well wishes! I feel it and each day I'm getting healthier and stronger," Egglesfield explained. "I'm still a bit sore but I'm making progress and am determined to come back stronger and healthier than ever especially with the help of my sexy walker :)."
