Paputsakia- Stuffed Eggplants

Paputsakia are stuffed eggplants which are first baked until they are soft. They are then stuffed with meat which is initially prepared with grounded meat in tomato paste. Paputsakia literally means 'Little shoes". Since it's final look gives a glimpse of baby shoes that is why it is called paputsakia. Due to the similar ingredient this dish tastes like moussaka.
