Remains of last Tasmanian tiger

Remains of last Tasmanian tiger

For 85 years, the remains of the last known Tasmanian tiger have been stashed in a cupboard. The animal's skeleton and skin were found kept inside the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery in Australia, putting an end to the mystery. The species, also known as thylacines, were hunted to extinction, and eventually only found on the Australian island of Tasmania.
