Lake Superior is the largest in the world with a surface area of 82,100 km2. By volume, this freshwater lake is 3rd-largest. For swimming, this lake is considered the most dangerous one. At some places, it measured as deeper than 40 miles. This deepest and biggest lake is the coldest of North America’s Great Lakes and is considered an incredible hotspot.
