The biggest lake in the world: the Caspian Sea

The Caspian Sea is the largest lake in the world with a surface area of 371,000 km2. Once formed part of ancient Paratethys Sea due to which its water is not fresh and is partially salty. It is entirely landlocked and in between the Asia and Europe continents.This water body is bordered by Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, and Russia. This sea is celebrated and known for its excellent remarkable oil industry and caviar.
