The Scream Theft (2004): In 2004, two versions of Edvard Munch's iconic painting "The Scream" were stolen from the Munch Museum in Oslo, Norway. The thieves entered the museum armed and took the valuable artworks before escaping. The paintings were recovered in 2006, but the identities of the culprits behind the heist have yet to be fully revealed.
