Mark Twain was a resident of Hartford from 1874 to 1891. He spend these years here writing two of his most famous books. Now his house is turned into a museum and people visit it to get the glimpse of life of the author. Some people reported that they experienced some paranormal activities in this house like a woman wandering around in a white gown. There is this room in the house where Mark would sit and smoke; people claim that they still smell the smoke wafting in the air.
