The Titanic Novel: In 1898, author Morgan Robertson wrote a fictional novel called "Futility" or "The Wreck of the Titan." The book featured a large luxury liner with inadequate lifeboats that struck an iceberg in the North Atlantic and sank. Fourteen years later, the real-life Titanic sank under eerily similar circumstances.
