World’s Most Haunted Hotels : Bourbon Orleans Hotel, New Orleans
This grand Bourbon Orleans Hotel in New Orleans was originally opened as a ballroom for the glamorous events. Later in late 1800, two sisters from holy family acquire the place and they turn the ballroom into children ward, orphanage, school and convent. Things went well until the yellow fever epidemic spread in the area that leads to the deaths of many children. It become abandoned and now this place is transformed into hotel. It is believe that the ghosts of those dead children and nuns still haunt this hotel. Guest heard children talking voices from the corridors. The ballroom also reported a famous dancer ghost who has seen performing at nights.
