World’s Most Haunted Hotels : Stanley Hotel, Estes Park

Stanley hotel is located in Estes Park Colorado. This hotel is almost one century old and reported to be operating from 1909. There are many horror stories associated with this hotel. Guest staying in this hotel reported that they heard children laughing and their running sounds down the halls on forth floor. There are many rooms that are considered haunted and there are several proves of paranormal activities going on in this hotel since 1970. The most anticipated ghosts guest are believe to the deceased owner of this hotel Mr. Stanley and his wife Flora Stanley. They are said to walk in the hotel corridors frequently and Mrs. Stanley is still playing piano in hotel’s music room. Another spooky fact about this hotel is that the former housekeeper that died in 1911 is still assisting the guest in room 217 and her ghost reported to unpack and store the guest’s belongings. In 1974, the famous horror writer Stephen king stayed in this hotel and gets inspiration for his novel “The shining” which later adapted into a blockbuster film.
