Tuan Tuan, a much loved panda in Taipei Zoo, Taiwan, has become ill with a suspected brain tumour.
The bear has become a major attraction since he was gifted to Taiwan by Beijing in 2008, alongside his breeding partner Yuan Yuan.
Despite tense relations between the neighbours, Taiwan has now reached out to Chinese vets to help assess the 18-year-old panda, as he moves to end-of-life care.
