Regular fries
The most common and most popular fries type is the regular standard cut fries that you can make at home very easily. They are deep fried in oil. They are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. They can be eaten with sprinkle salt or with ketchup simply.
Crinkle Cut Fries
They are similar to the regular fries except that they had wavy or crinkly sides and edges. The proper signature shaped of the crinkle cut fries can be obtained by the special crinkle cutter. Then they are deep fried in oil and then served with cheese, mayonnaise or ketchup.
Curly Fries
Curly fries are easily identified by the curly spring like shape. They mostly appeal the children due to their fun shape. They are also known as Suzi-Q. Shoestring fries

Potato Wedges
They aren’t as crunchy as the regular standard fries type but they are extremely delicious and soft. Cottage Fries
Cottage fries is also one of the most famous fries types and the only difference they had from regular fries is that they are cut in round pieces. The potato skin peeling is optional. Thickness of these fries can vary on the basis of your choice. They can be consumed with many condiments but ketchup and mayonnaise dip is the most famous dipping sauce for them.
Tornado fries
Tornado fries are originally from South Korea and they are famous street food in that country. They are now popular in all over the world due to the crispy texture and the unique way of serving them on sticks. The potatoes are cut in round shape and they are deep fried until crisp. Oven Baked fries as the name suggests are baked in oven. They are considered healthier then fried French fries due to the low calorie content. Matchstick Fries
Matchstick fries are similar to horseshoe fries but they are shorter and crispier then Horseshoe fries. They are small sticks of potatoes similar to matchsticks and then are deep fired until the crisps and then served with ketchup and other condiments.

Steak fries are the thick cuts of potatoes and they are famous for being served along with steak in steak houses. But they are not limited to just steak but they can also be paired with other dishes. The deep potato cuts are deep fried for crispy texture outside and fluffy on the inside.

They are deep fried and then served with the minced garlic at the top. Sometime melted cheese is also added with garlic at top to enhance the flavor.
