Before digging more into how to become a morning person, you have to understand what exactly is term morning person. Well Morning people are those individuals that are highly productive in the morning and they are going to start their day early. The body clock of the morning person will be very regular and organized. They will have early bedtime at night and that is the reason why they are so active and fresh in the morning. Everyone had their own specific sleep schedules based on their genetics, age, lights exposure and life style. According to the science the sleeping pattern of human beings are circadian rhythm known as chronotype. Your specific chronotype is going to determine when you are going to get tired and your brain is going to sleep. This phenomena is most common in animals and birds and it categories them whether they are morning animals or nocturnal.
Is it possible to become a morning Person?
People want to become a morning person because it is highly recommended and convenient. Generally Morning people are considered fresh, active and positive role models in every field. If anyone wanted to become a morning person then it is possible to change your sleep cycle. There is nothing wrong in changing your chronotype. Many people wanted to become a morning person because their life routine has change and they aren’t ready to waste the morning time anymore. Shift your bedtime
You can try sleeping before your actual bedtime. By doing this you are making your internal clock setting your new bedtime. It will be harder at first but once you are consistence in sleeping at the new time, your body will automatically start feeling tired and you will feel sleepy.
Light Adjustment
To become a morning person you have to absorb as much a morning light as you can so that your brain and internal clock can wake up. You can also lighten up your room to make yourself awake in the morning. You can also reverse this trick at night if you couldn’t fall sleep, dim the lights and let your internal clock know that its time to sleep.
Set Bedtime and Morning Routine
Habits and activities can help resetting your body clock. You can set some bedtime routine to calm your mind so that you can sleep early such as night yoga, meditation, reading a book, writing a dairy, listening to calm music. These behavioral clues can help you be consistent in your bedtime. Practice some morning routines too so that your brain wake up on the internal clock alarm. Morning routine includes going for morning walk, exercising, drinking your favorite beverage in the morning, and spending time with your pet and your family.
Manage Caffeine Time
Don’t drink coffee closer to your bed time or else that can disturb your regular sleep pattern. Try consuming coffee in the day or in the morning where you need your brain to be more active and fresh.
Shift your meal Time
Shift your meal times according to your new sleep and waking up timings. Eat your dinner one and half hour before you fall asleep. Eating your meals before the bedtime can adjust your internal clock to digest the food properly and make you fall asleep better. This may be disturbing your metabolism at start but if you try harder to be consistent in your new schedule Then it will be easy with time.
